Zhou Laoshi got her B.A from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. After moved to the United States, she got her master degree in teaching from Hamline University. She also got Minnesota k-6 elementary teaching license. Zhou Laoshi has been teaching Chinese in Minnesota for 10 years. She had worked in Macalester College, St. Paul Public School, and now she is teaching Chinese at Breck School. Zhou Laoshi hope to help children learn Chinese and math in a dynamic and effective way.
Xiaomin LiuAssistant curriculum coordinator, Chinese Teacher
Liu Laoshi obtained her bachelor’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language at Nankai University in Tianjin,China and received her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is currently working at Saint Paul Public Schools, holding a K-6 Elementary Education license in Minnesota. Liu Laoshi has a deep interest in language acquisition and comparative education research. She loves curriculum design and creative teaching.
Peilin LiuSubstitute teacher
Liu Laoshi graduated in English major from External Life Christ College in Taiwan. She went to Minnesota State University Mankato for graduate school, and obtained her master degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has a Minnesota k-12 ESL teaching license and has been teaching ESL for 20 years. She is teaching at Le Sueur-Henderson High School currently. She is also a passionate and dedicated teacher to Chinese education. She has been teaching in Chinese weekend school over 10 years. Children love Liu Laoshi’ class and personalities, because of her fun teaching style and sweet personalities.
Yanli FengChinese teacher
Mrs. Feng Graduated from Sichuan University in China where she studied pharmacy for 5 years. She moved to the US in 2013. While in college, she worked in a nearby elementary school as a volunteer teaching English and math. After coming to the United States, she taught in a Chinese immersion school for some time. Ms. Feng believes that the best things for children's development are nurturing and teaching. Ms. Feng teaches Mandarin Chinese to Cyprus students enrolled in Chinese class with great success. Students have come out of the program having passed as high as the internationally standardized HSK 3 and have been placed in high school Chinese 4.
Xiaojing WuChinese teacher
Wu Laoshi obtained master’s degree in Second Language Education from the University of Minnesota. Before moving to America, she taught English at Only Education in Shanghai, China. While teaching English, she taught Introductory English, New Concept English, and SBS to students ranging from 6-12 years old. She enjoys teaching and hope her students will apply what they learn in class into the real world.
Maria KnappMath teacher
Maria graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree majoring in Information Technology and Business Management. She received her MBA degree at University of St. Thomas in 2013. She’s currently working as Implementation Project Manager at SAP Concur. Maria has obtained hands-on work experience as Sales, Consultant and General Manager when she was employed in Consulting, Project Management and Business Management fields. She is very patient, organized, and strong in communication. She also considers creativity and problem-solving skills are her strength as well. Mrs. Knapp achieved 690 on GMAT test and was admitted to Full-time MBA program at University of St. Thomas with full Dean’s scholarship. During graduate school, Maria challenged herself by volunteering as classroom assistant in Chinese Immersion school in St. Cloud. She has developed passion for bilingual teaching since then. Provided with such platform, she’s hoping to assist students exploring more fun while learning in a second language.
Larry MooreBasketball Coach
Larry has been coaching and helping kids to improve their game for over 18 years. He has coached numerous basketball games, as well as small group clinics & private lessons. Larry specializes in skill development and teaching the fundamentals of basketball. When Larry was in college, he played College basketball for Central Arizona college and Jamestown college, both were nationally ranked teams. After Larry graduated, he has held assistant and head coaching positions within Burnsville, and assisted in coaching Burnsville Traveling 11u team to win the State Championship. Larry currently coaches for MN Magic, runs BAC basketball camps, and coaching basketball class in Ledian Chinese School.
